10 January 2023

Duhamel Group is a major logistics service provider in the perfume and cosmetics, luxury, textile and e-commerce sectors.

This acquisition is another step forward in DIMOTRANS Group’s development that further strengthens its position in the contract logistics segment.

Sixteen months after the acquisition of Qualitair&Sea and six months after the acquisition of Soretrans, DIMOTRANS Group is joined by the DUHAMEL Group. This new acquisition is in line with the Group’s strategy to strengthen its position in the contract logistics segment. This business line now accounts for almost €120m of revenue in France.

“Our goal is to reach critical size in each of our business lines, which would not be possible without the combination of sustained organic growth and high-quality external acquisitions.” Salvatore Alaimo, president of DIMOTRANS Group

With the integration of the DUHAMEL Group, DIMOTRANS Group benefits from new areas of expertise that complement its strategy of achieving excellence.

THE GROUP:

  • Strengthens its presence in France with eight logistics sites and 113,000 m2 of additional warehouse space
  • Now operates 17 logistics sites and almost 380,000 m2 of warehouses
  • Benefits from 240 new employees and the skills they offer, bringing total logistics staff numbers to 721 people
  • Supplements its areas of expertise with new high value-added services.

“This acquisition enables DIMOTRANS Group to become a major logistics service provider in the perfume and cosmetics, luxury, textile and e-commerce sectors.” Rolf Beyer, director of the Group’s Logistics Business Unit.

The DUHAMEL Group has experienced steady growth in recent years, with a significant increase in its revenue. The Group’s Logistics Business Unit now includes the historic activities of DIMOTRANS Group, BSL and the DUHAMEL Group.
The subsidiary will be led by Florian Gerbron, managing director of the DUHAMEL Group since 2019.

“As we join DIMOTRANS Group, we begin a new chapter in our history. We will now also be able to provide our customers a comprehensive service offering that delivers even more quality and “openness to the entire world”. Thanks to the Group’s other business lines, we have a solution for every supply chain need, both in France and internationally.” Florian Gerbron, managing director of the DUHAMEL Group

“The acquisition of the DUHAMEL Group is a major step forwards in DIMOTRANS Group’s growth, with the ambition – now a goal – of being one of the major independent French supply chain stakeholders. To do this, we need to consolidate each business line, both through acquiring companies that are in good financial health, have a good reputation, and perform well in their sector, and also through organic growth, which we will be able to develop thanks to the complementary nature of the Group’s expertise.” Salvatore Alaimo, president of DIMOTRANS Group.
